Our trip to the Seoul Grand Park Zoo

Over the holiday weekend, the three of us decided to check out the zoo. Korea zoos are much different than American zoos. The enclosures are smaller and don't mimic the animal's natural habitat like you would see in the states. For example, a polar bear, outside, in the summer, when we humans are sweating. Their enclosures were also part inside, part outside. There would be a little walkway for the animals to go inside, and the inside part was just a tiled room with a big glass wall so people could see the animals from the inside. We were closer to monkeys and the big cats than we had ever been in our lives....that was pretty amazing. There was also an animal nursery where the babies were. This was one of the areas Lucas actually paid attention to. He would watch the pumas and the lions walk back and forth and would have a HUGE smile! He also really liked the monkeys. Otherwise, he pretty much napped in his stroller.
