We started feeding Lucas rice cereal. He learned how to use his tongue and not spit the food out pretty quickly. Then 11 days later, during usual dinner of rice cereal, his face turned bright red. There were red blotchy spots with hives on his arms, legs, and tummy. We, being first time parents, got scared and headed to the Emergency Room. The reaction started to go away within probably an hour. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious. The doc said to use a different brand of cereal. Unfortunately, all they carry here is Gerber. They do have
DelMonte, but it isn't just rice,

it is a mixed stage 2 cereal. We leave for Guam on Sunday so we are going to scour their grocery stores in search of something that Lucas can have. I am hoping to find something organic so that there is even less of a chance of chemicals and such that he could be allergic too. We shall see.....
